Abstract
As an Economics major at Kalamazoo College, it was pointed out early in my pursuit of my degree that the ability to write was one of the most important tools one could hope to acquire in his college career. With this in mind, I turned to the English Department. There, I came to the realization that the writing voice and the speaking voice are two unique forms of communication. One, the speaking voice, employs hand and facial movements to clarify any points of confusion. The writing voice, however, demands a completeness that is rarely required in verbal conversation. Not only must ideas be complete, but the presentation of these ideas must be well planned if the reader is to correctly interpret what the writer has intended. I have found, when writing, that if one remembers that a piece of paper CANNOT answer questions, one cannot help but be clear in their writing style. It is therefore my goal that the following stories leave the reader with no questions other than those posed by the content of the stories themselves.
