This report consists mainly of personal impression.
Some of the factual information,especially on the library beginnings, I took from one of the handbooks, published every few years by the associates. While writing it, I hoped that it might serve as a sourse of information to students who were considering librarianship as a career and might find a student's view of library work helpful, and to career-service sophomores considering working at the Newberry.
