Abstract
The reason for a study of this type is to give a more complete picture of the Ecology of the Kalamazoo Nature Center. In ecology many more studies are being done on ecological relationships of one area. This is in preference to isolated studies on a particular group without other studies relating it to the entire environment. The Nature Center is convenient for complete area studies because of its permanency, accessibility, and function as an educational institution. This study is intended to be used as a background for the beginning of more specific studies. One immediate possibility would be a perusal of the study techniques most suitable for each mammal. In this way it would be possible to direct the accumulation of equipment necessary to allow more extensive studies.
