An Evaluation of Project Head Start in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is an evaluation of the Head Start program in Kalamazoo based upon my experience as a volunteer. The evaluation proposes to measure the need of the program in Kalamazoo. For "measuring tools," I chose personal observations, results of the IQ tests, and results of the health program. These were selected because they provide factual data from three main facets of the child: the emotional and social, intellectual, and physical growth. The evaluation also will show how the cooperative efforts of the staff must be interwoven for an efficient execution of the program.
