dc.description.abstractIt has been found that when an intense laser beam is focused to a point in air, electrical breakdown of the air near that point occurs, forming a spark. This paper reports on experimental investigations of some optical properties of laser-induced sparks and also on the calculation of the order of magnitude of their light energy.en_US
