Abstract

This is a purely expository paper. The concepts come primarily from Shannon's intuition-based proofs and Khinchlo's more rigorous ones; all definitions come from these sources. Intermediate steps and some short proofs necessary to the understanding of the definitions and theorems have been supplied by th1s wr1ter.
