Abstract
With a disease such as cancer, examination of all
etiological possibilities especially deliniation of its
hereditary extent is necessary to facilitate control of the disease. This paper, however, necessarily is limited
to the hereditary contribution to the cancerogenesis. The first
part of this paper will deal with a deliniation of the
problem, an explanation of terms, and of tools used in
the gathering of data. The second part will deal with an
examination of the results of various investigations with
an eye to finding some relatively concrete data. The
third part of this paper will include a synthesis of material, an analysis of my findings, and a prospectus into
the future of genetic investigation of malignant diseases.
