Abstract
The purpose of this study is to highlight the efforts of
a North Alabama county in the field of public health. It was
my thought that such a study would reveal many discrepancies
in both theory and practice when brought to bear against
national objectives and standards. The selection of Madison
County was based upon the fact that my father was transferred
by his company from suburban Philadelphia to Huntsville
while I was abroad during my Junior Year.
