    Abstract
This paper is based on the development of the spark chamber project at Kalamazoo College. The project was started and developed to the point of a high voltage power supply and a trial "shelf type" spark chamber in 1964 by. Glen Fischer, then a physics student at the College. Spark chambers have certainly been built before and their usefulness has been proven. The purpose of this paper is then, to sum up the experience of six weeks of work so that the project may resume with help from others as a continuous process. The intention was to get the project going testing the very simplest of spark chambers, with hopes of getting insights as to how it would be possible to build into our project some of the sophistications seen in spark chambers at other institutions.
