Abstract
The biological spectrum is that arrangement of living material in an order proceeding from the lowest level of organization to the highest level. That biological spectrum might well read 1n the following order; protoplasm, cells, tissues. organs, organ systems, organisms, populations. communities, ecosystems and finally the biosphere. This paper is the result or my attempt to gain a better understanding of one of the more abstract concepts within that biological spectrum, the concept of population.
