A Study of Dropouts in Caldwell, Idaho
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide the Caldwell,
Idaho School District #132 with information concerning the
early educational development of a number of dropouts from
the system's public high school. By examining the early
records of past dropouts in recent years, it is hoped that
the individual who may be a dropout in the future can be
identified as early as the sixth or seventh grade. It is
also hoped that early detection of potential high school
dropouts will result in intensive counseling with the individual
and his family to encourage the student to do his
best to graduate.
