These three heroes are men who could be in any society at any time. They are disturbed by basic questions concerning every individual who is willing to take the human situation seriously. In this essay they have been shown searching for an ultimate meaning in their lives as they have come to terms with their personal religions, their gods, and questions dealing with good, evil, justice, righteousness and what it means to be a mortal.
