A Comparison of the Effects of Hypophysectomy and Pinealectomy on the Organs' Weights of Rana pipiens
Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to observe and compare the changes that occurred in organ
weights as a result of hypophysectomy and pinealectomy of the
frog, Rana pipiens in order to determine whether there is a
correlation between the actions of the pineal body and the
hypophysis in an amphibian possessing a photoreceptor-type
pineal body.
