Abstract
This paper is a comparison of two industries of
comparable size and technology--one from the United States
and one from Peru--to see if some of the theories on the
effect of culture on industry are applicable. The paper
will first present a description of the general problems
confronting Peruvian industry and discuss the types of
adaptations one might expect industry to have developed.
The Paper will then present two case studies and consider
the differences between them.
