I embarked on the study of the effectiveness of the Northside Tutorial Project with the idea that the trial period for the tutorial program was over, and that having demonstrated its worth, it was in the best interests of the community that the program be developed and expanded so that something nearer the full use of its potentiality as a service to the community could be approached. I felt that it was time that the leadership and supporters, both financially and authoritatively, recognized and accepted the potential worth of the program for what it is and began to seek ways of developing it.
