Abstract
In this experiment, instead of thymectomizing rats,
cortisone was injected to cause thymic involution and
lymphopenia. As thymic hormone had been shown to stimulate
lymphocyte production in thymectomized animals, homogenized
thymus glands were injected into these hyperadrenocorticosterold
animals in an attempt to restore the lymphooyte count to
normal.
