Abstract
This paper will analyze a period of excessively rapid investment
growth, known as the Jimmu Boom. However, before we begin this detailed
analysis it is necessary to make sure that all the readers have a
general understanding of the postwar Japanese economic development.
This history attempts to convey some of the vitality, the dynamism
and the fascination which the economy hold as well as serving the more
pedestrian aims of introducing the major trends that we will be studying
in detail and of placing the period under study into proper historical
context.
