Abstract
In this paper, I am attempting a new approach to the
dramatic works of Eugene Ionesoo. Through a detailed analysis
of one of Ionesco's plays, I shall show how a cyclical pattern emerges. I have chosen The Killer for this purpose because
its treatment of the whole cycle is most complete. This
pattern underlies Ionesco's work in general, as I will show
through a look at a selection of his other plays.
