Abstract
In this paper I will present a general discussion of dyslexia.
The condition will first be viewed from a historical perspective
and then more specifically in terms of definition, concept, and
syndrome. Next, the fluctuating trends in etiology will be reviewed,
followed by a consideration of diagnosis. Finally, a recent controversial
trend in reading remediation will be discussed.
