The Last War: The Comanches in Defeat and on the Reservation 1874-75
Abstract
For most people, the problem of adjusting to some
foreign way of life is a cultural shock, but the demands on
these people to give up their old cultural habits for those of the
modern nineteenth century were often impossible, causing a great
deal of emotional frustration. Some simply refused to change.
This work is an attempt to describe Comanche life on the reservation,
during this period. It is hoped that it is an honest one. With honors.
