Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the
completed subject material already assembled on the development
of the political system of post-Independent
Kenya. There have been numerous works on the general
subject of Kenya over the past few years which have added
greatly to our knowledge of that particular area.
These works are divided up into the categories of traditional
systems in Kenya, general histories, travel information,
etc. To date, there has not been one serious
attempt to delineate the political structure of the post-Independent
political system of Kenya. As of yet, it would
be impossible to complete this thesis in detail due to
the lack of relevant data. Instead, it is my intention
to provide the major outlines of the political structure
of modern Kenya.
