Abstract
This thesis represents the results of a one-man
personal study of Colombian politics. It is an attempt
at analysis of the Colombian political system. I fully
realize that such a work may be felt to be premature or
presumptuous because it concerns itself almost entirely
with a minuscule portion of political interaction. It
must be admitted that by studying only one small system,
little or no connection has been made concerning any
general theory as to the nature of the political system as
a whole. However, I feel absolved from any guilt about
this lack because it is my belief that this need has already
been adequately filled.
