Abstract
The purpose of this study and analysis is not to claim that the so-called tribal and regional hatred or disrespect and mistrust have no place in Ugandan politics. Lack of political experience, real and imagined corruption of some politicians and the socialistic inclinations of Obote's government, all have some influence on political values and attitudes in Uganda. But a careful and critical examination of political events in Uganda reveals that these aspects of Uganda's political environment are of minimal influence and they are not the most significant elements of Uganda's political environment.
