Abstract
The following pages represent an effort to analyze the use and importance of domestic and foreign propaganda as an important aide in the operation of the Soviet political system. I have chosen as a case study the conflicts between the Soviet writers and the Soviet Communist Party. The period of time involved is the 1960's.
