Environmental Racism: Are There Any Legal Remedies?
MetadataShow full item record
My SIP focuses on the emergence of "environmental racism," the studies which support the belief that race is the most significant factor in the location of hazardous waste sites, and how communities have currently attempted to eliminate this tendency. My SIP also offers suggestions for improving the legal channels minorities can take. Whether that is the best solution, or whether there are other avenues minority communities should follow, remains to be seen. My goal has purely been to bring this racial issue to public attention, while mostly centering on the legal aspects. If you are not a current K College student, faculty, or staff member, email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access to this SIP.
