Abstract
The purpose of
this paper is to examine the theory of Dudley Seers, a British
economist of the structural school. The paper first studies
Seers' model of inflation and growth, then, examines Chile's
experience with inflation and the structure and conditions of
her economy, and, finally, attempts to determine the extent
to which the Seers model fits the experience of Chile.
