Abstract
I divided my project into three sections. The first
section, "John Marshall", focuses on his life before he
became chief justice, his personality, and his impression on
others. These are important issues because they led him to
his position as chief justice. The second section, "John
Marshall's Justiceship", concentrates on his jurisprudence and
the influence he had on the Supreme Court. It elaborates on
the area in which John Marshall gained most of his authority
and contributed to the development and continuity of the
United States. The final section, "John Marshall's Legacy",
focuses on his influence within the American political system
and some of his long-lasting effects that are still seen in
the United States today.
