Airfreight Terminal Concepts for Willow Run Airport

Abstract

This paper is an analysis of Willow Run developed and its application to any airport with more than one aircarrier giving a1rfreight service. Before discussing airfreight terminals, a look at the airfreight industry and its many facets is necessary. Included in this chapter, therefore, is a discussion of airfreight rates, aircraft scheduling, the role of the CAB, and the future of a1rfreight as a means of intercity distribution.
