Anonymous Analysis is a community based drug program which qualitatively analyzes drug samples submitted to the program from the community at large. Anyone can submit a sample for any reason and the service is offered free of charge. The analysis is anonymous in the sense that the persons submitting substances for analysis are not required to identify themselves. The goal of any drug program is to be of value in the areas of drug abuse prevention, education, therapy, and rehabilitation. The Anonymous Analysis program places it's emphasis on drug education. It is the contention of the program that many drugs purchased illicitly are not actually what they are sold as and that many other samples contain harmful components. Thus a more specific emphasis of the program is in educating the drug-using community of the dangers implicit in purchasing drugs from the illicit drug market, Knowledge as to the identity of unknown substances and presence of adulterants and/or unexpected components in alleged samples would be beneficial to the individual submitters and to the community as a whole.
