This thesis is an outgrowth of my internship at WHISPER (Women Hurt In Systems of Prostitution Engaged in Revolt), a small non-profit agency in St. Paul, MN that provides referral and advocacy to women in prostitution and politically organizes to end the sex industry (prostitution, pornography, stripping). This thesis is rooted in my experiences of politically organizing at WHISPER and will be theoretically based on my critique of E.E. Schattschneider's notions of conflict and power in political organizing in The Semisovereign People. If you are not a current K College student, faculty, or staff member, email email@example.com to request access to this SIP.
