Abstract
This study will attempt to explain how the CIA
developed into the agency of today. It has gone through
several phases and reorganizations since its inception
in 1947. It has had many successes and failures. The
successes the public does not hear about, while the
failures are plastered all over the front pages. The
world has changed since 1947 and in some cases the CIA
has not changed along with that world.
