This thesis, The Political parties of Puerto Rico -- study in status determination, is the result of a planned investigation of Puerto Rican political moods. It was undertaken as a project by the author at the end of 1962. The purpose of the thesis was first to teach the author the many problems and intricacies involved in developing a complete work on a particular subject. Second it was an investigation into the feasibility of other studies in the Caribbean, with the possible establishment of a permanent college program in that area. Third in the author's mind, the thesis was to be an attempt to provide, in readable form, a basic view of the general Puerto Rican political situation in the sincere hope that others might use it as a foundation tor further studies in the same field. The project was attempted with the intention of providing the English speaking North American with a basic source reference and bibliography in regard to Puerto Rico and especially in regard to her politics. If you are not a current K College student, faculty, or staff member, email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access to this SIP.
