Abstract
This paper is written mainly to illustrate that politics in the local
level of government, in which every citizen is allowed to participate
each year, is important in its own right and could offer some possible
ideas for how a larger political system operates.
The paper begins with the assumptlon that politics constitutes
a definite part of education and must be considered when any educational
decision study is made. Politics is defined as interaction, whether
formal or informal, at any level in the local government. It occurs
during the whole year and not just when a controversial issue arises.
The townspeople are constantly interacting and making decisions, both
formally and informally. It is this interaction and the results of
it which are examined in the following paper.
