The main thrust of the PCB study at General Electric's Research and Development Center ended in July, 1978. The legal agreement was satisfied, the necessary money was allocated and spent, and all the experiments were conducted to their successful conclusion or until the allocated money was used up. Most experiments were conducted on a short-term basis, usually four to six months to a final acceptable conclusion. Only the microbial degradation experimentation was conducted on a long-tenn basis. It was thought to be the most effective method for the future elimination of PCB's.If you are not a current K College student, faculty, or staff member, email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access to this SIP.
