This study probes the issue of why Sierra Leone which is quite capable of being self-sufficient in the production of rice does not produce enough rice to feed its people. The agricultural sector will be examined in detail to provide an understanding of the problem. The critical issue which the study concerns itself with is government's role in the sector, and the main focus is on the agricultural policies of the government of the All People's Congress (APC) party. These policies will be analyzed to assess their impact on agricultural production. If you are not a current K College student, faculty, or staff member, email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access to this SIP.
