Abstract
Although officially the Senior Individualized Project is only a ten
week undertaking, my project began well over a year and one-half ago
during the Fall quarter of my junior year. That is when I first started
working for John Wilkinson, a local attorney, and received my initial
exposure to Michigan's appellate procedures. Since that time, about a
dozen appeals have been perfected by our law office, the majority being
court-appointed criminal indigent appeals. This paper, in essence, is
a procedural recapitulation of my appellate experiences of the past year
and one-half.
