The investigation of potassium bis(oxalato)cuprate(II)dihydrate reported in this thesis, was undertaken in response to a specific question. The question was whether or not the
compound, potassium bis(oxalato)cuprate(II) dehydrate, could be easily and reproducibly analyzed for oxalate, copper and water content by classical (wet) methods. It was felt that an affirmative answer could be taken as strong evidence of the
feasibility of assigning the determination of, the empirical formula of this compound as a problem in courses of elementary quantitative analysis.
