The purpose of this paper and the work behind it was the investigation of the electron spin resonance spectra of a suitable copper complex. The tiny magnetic field of the spinning electron provides us with a tool for probing the nature of the chemical bonds to the copper. Molecular Orbital theory can be used to relate the spectral parameters thus obtained to the parameters of the chemical bonds. From this investigation it was hoped that these parameters might be calculated, thus elucidating the molecular bonding of ,the copper complex.
