Analysis of the Electron Spin Resonance Spectrum of 2-Nitroresorcinol
MetadataShow full item record
The purpose of this experiment is to measure the electron spin resonance (e.s.r.) spectrum of 2-nitroresorcinol, and to use this data to evaluate the unknown parameters used in the calculation of the molecular orbitals by the Huckel-McClachran method. This assumes tacitly, of course, that this method is an accurate way of determining the actual molecular wave functions, but the adequacy of the method has been demonstrated already for a variety of other molecules, and it therefore seems to be a reasonable assumption. With honors.
