In this work, three methods have been explored to investigate the possibility of nickel iodide complex formation. Originally it was hoped that there would be at least some evidence produced that there is a measurable extent of complexing and secondly, an attempt would be made to determine the stability constants of any complex ions detected. The three techniques used were E.M.F. measurements, spectroscopy, and polarography (using a dropping mercury electrode). With honors.
