Many Moons by Celius Dougherty : a Production Directed by William Johnston
Abstract
'Many Moons,' a one act opera by Celius Dougherty, is remarkable in that it combines musical and theatrical elements with a finesse which is often lacking in many major operatic works. This thesis describes a production of 'Many Moons' directed by William Johnston and documents the musical and theatrical elements of the production of a one act opera.
