Gender and Political Trust: A Cross-Cultural Study of Mexico and the United States

The lack of representation of women in the public sphere, gender inequality in the educational realm, and, the differences in the socialization of girls and boys, and the outcomes of such socialization are some of the reasons why I began this project. I am interested in both the topics of political trust and the effects gender roles and identifications have upon the building of such trust because using gender to look at political trust brings all of the above interests into play.
