Kalamazoo College's Hicks Center. A note in this photograph file reads "The Georgian exterior of the new College Union-dining facility (a brick veneer over a concrete block back-up) blends not only with the old dining facility, which it adjoins, but also with the other buildings on Kalamazoo College's campus." This facility, which incorporates the 1940 Welles Dining Hall, was completed in 1970 to serve as the college union. It was named for Weimer K. Hicks, who served as president from 1953 to 1971. This is Short & Millgard negative no. 70651 #5.
