An aerial view of Kalamazoo College's Angell Field, taken by the Photoflight service of Three Rivers, Michigan. The view is to the southeast. Along the top right corner of the photograph is West Michigan Avenue; the street running along the field is Burrows Road. The photograph was taken on October 19, 1946, which was both the dedication of the new field and the Homecoming game. Kalamazoo College defeated longtime rival Hope College 13-0, and attendance was the highest to date for a Homecoming game at over 5,500.
