Kalamazoo College Monte Carlo night
Abstract
Students at a game table during Kalamazoo College's Monte Carlo night, sometime in the 1970s. College administrator Dr. Wen Chao Chen is the dealer, and the students are not identified. The Monte Carlo event was first held in 1975. It is described in a College memo: "Guests spend the evening playing casino games with Monte Carlo money and then have the opportunity to purchase wonderful prizes from the Millionaire Shop." Often a dance and musical performances have been part of the event, which involves the entire College community. The photographer is not identified.
