The Delmega Society was a men’s literary society founded in 1961, consisting mainly of students interested in math and science. The group participated in campus events such as the Society one-act plays, All Society Sing Contest, intramural sports, and the Christmas Carol Service. They also were involved in tutoring, leading group discussions on current topics, service projects, and dances. They were also known for their pizza party fundraiser and for creating a pledge process that did not focus on hazing. By 1971 all the literary societies had closed down.
