    The Hemmes Papers collection includes a series of letters between Professor Hemmes, his family members, and others, dated 1908 to 1951. Many of the letters are handwritten and/or in German. This record includes digitized versions of all the letters that are in Box 24, Folder 2, and retains their original numbering. This group was labeled "Letters: From Luike to Mabel, Dec. 1923-Jan. 1924 (7 items).”

    Luike Hemmes' Ph.D. dissertation written for the University of Chicago in 1924. This version includes some penciled-in annotations, likely by Hemmes, and may have been one of his draft versions prior to the submission of the final. Some pages are faint and difficult to read.
