Item Community Advocates for Parents and Students (CAPS) poster(Kalamazoo College, 2010) Smith, Travis; Jarrett, KlissaThis poster, created in 2010, describes the partnership between Kalamazoo College's Center for Civic Engagement with the Interfaith Homes Community Center. According to the poster, "Students who live in Interfaith Homes are underrepresented in the college community. The CAPS mission is to help students reach their full potential by providing them with one-one academic support, relationships with college students, a building full of academic resources, and most importantly support from a community of individuals dedicated to their success."Item CAPS poster(Kalamazoo College, 2018-10-15)According to the poster, "CAPS was founded in 2006 by a grassroots group of community leaders dedicated to ensuring that all Kalamazoo Public School students are prepared to take advantage of the Kalamazoo Promise. The poster states, "Founded in 2009, Club Grub is an after school program at Woodward Elementary that explores healthy eating, gardening and community in a safe space where Woodward and K College students can share experiences and ideas about what they eat and where their food comes from.
